program was first broadcast in 1937. It is the story of two children, Judy and
Jimmy Barton, and their search for the Silver Star which they use on the top of
their Christmas tree. First they meet Paddy O’Ginnamon (The Cinnamon
Bear) who leads them on a trip through Maybe Land in search of the star.
Along the way they have many exciting adventures and meet such characters as
the Crazy Quilt Dragon, Melissa, Queen of Maybe Land, and many, many
others. Finally, they find Santa Claus. But, rather than give away the story,
why don’t you listen to it yourself.
THE CINNAMON BEAR is in 26 episodes, just as it was presented on radio,
and runs a little over 5 hours. This delightful story is a must for young and old.
